Moving Past My Saturn Return

If I’m still in it, so be it, but I think turning 30 is marking the denoument of my Saturn Return. These last three years have been some of the most chaotic and wonderful years of my life…and after learning about the Saturn Return, well, I think it’s safe to say, I’ve had mine! My Saturn Return shook me up, but I’ve come out the other side feeling pretty dang good. After all, the good always comes with the bad and all the most wonderful moments of the last three years occurred right alongside the terrible ones:

I experienced total burnout in my work — meanwhile, we got married in the most magical way we could imagine, legally on the anniversary of our first date and then ceremonially with family.

We left behind everything we had built up for five years — but with higher education degrees and a lot more grit.

Unemployed, we went completely broke — and yet, thrilled, because I got pregnant!

The political climate became spiritually unbearable — but it forced us to speak up and advocate for what we believe in and actively seek out community.

I developed the rare and sometimes tragic HELLP Syndrome, which brought our son into the world 10 weeks early — but finally holding him for the first time was possibly the best moment of our lives.

And even just this week, I came down with the flu on Valentine’s Day and also put in the last payment for my student loans. It was an epic week.

If the good only ever comes with the bad — oh well! If that’s the only way I get to experience the good in life, I’ll take itThe Saturn Return can keep on bringing it for another year (if it must!)

Anyone else aged 27-31 feeling the impact of their Saturn Return? What about the second returners out there, aged 56-60? Can’t forget about that second return!

Wishing everyone a happy weekend — and may you navigate your own Saturn Return well!
